What an absolute aggravating fucking game...grrrrrr. Last night's Monday nighter between the Dallas Cowboys and my beloved Washington Redskins drove me frikkin crazy. The Redskins defence was playing awesome all game long but their offence was so stagnant, so unimpressive it was a joke. No way would Coach Gibbs had left Patrick Ramsey in the game as long as he left Mark Brunell in. But luckily for Mark, his vetern prowess, came through with a wicked 25 yard "scamper" (as the commentators love to say) on 3rd and 27 which probably was THE crucial play of the game. Off that run he was able to through a deep bomb to Santana "holy fuck he's fast" Moss for their first touchdown this season. With just over 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter the Redskins finally scored bringing the score to 13-7. Thankfully that insane defence did their thing and stopped Dallas in their tracks to set up another Brunell to "he's seriously that fucking fast" Moss deep bomb which gave the Redskins the lead and the eventual win. I was super excited they won, but man if only the offence thought to throw the ball deep in the first frikkin place we wouldn't have had to wait till the game was about over to score.
However two things were established in this game, the 'Skins defence is sick and Santana Moss is unbelievably fast. He scorched the same two defenders down the field twice for touchdowns. I mean he just blew right by them, he didn't even make a move, he just ran straight, it was nasty, the guy has some serious jets. Also, I guess Gibbs' decision to stick with Brunell turned out to be a good one, afterall he didn't panic at all during the game and made three huge plays with 3 minutes left to lead the team to a win. That kind of "cool" and confidence only comes from being in the league for over 10 years. I still rather see Ramsey play, the boy can flat out throw the frikkin ball and he's a better fit for the offence. But having a veteran leader like Brunell on the field in a game like last night's is the difference between losing 13-0 and winning 14-13.
P.S. Vista didn't work out, Network drivers would just not install no matter what I tried. Everything else worked but if I don't have internet access, what's the point. So I've switched back to WinXP SP2 and it's running like a beauty. I'll probably just install Vista on a Virtual Machine just so that I can play with it, but until I can figure out why the Network won't work there's no point in installing it as a base OS.
